I'm writing about my recent experience with homesecuritystore.com (HSC hereafter). A pair of motion detectors stopped working at my house. I find a couple of options on-line but HSC offers overnight shipping. $45 for UPS!!! But with an incomplete security grid i figure the peace of mind will be worth it.

The package didn't come the next day and the following day. I call HSC and discover that they hadn't included my full address only 1 of 2 lines. (Both lines they had on record from my credit card though). Ok, mistakes can be made so just get me the package.

It is now 7 days later, 2 UPS trackings and the only solution offerred by their shipping department is to wait 2-8 business days for UPS to find the package and a possible credit on the shipping price. Apparently it was delivered to the wrong address.

The final straw was when they told me to check at a store closeby. No package and no one there by the name of the signer given by UPS. I call HSC back to update their information with UPS, and after asking what else can be done since time is and was of the essence, she apologizes and says she's too busy to help me anymore and that she'd call me on Monday when they open. (3 days later.)

DO NOT DEAL WITH HOMESECURITYCENTER IF YOU CAN HELP IT. I know I just ordered 2 little sensors but seriously... We're talking about securiy issues and them raping you on shipping charges because they know anyone who asks for overnight REALLY needs it. And by not getting me another set ASAP then blowing me off?
